Hazrat Maulana Muhammad Anwar sb.

Former Rector of this Madrasa.

Life & Services:

Maulana Muhammad Anwar sb. was a resident of a village called Dadheru Kalan, district Muzaffarnagar. He came from the ''Gada'' community. His family was one of the few educated families. Maulana was fond of education and was a Person with profound knowledge. His elder brother, Advocate Ashraf Ali sb. was an active member of the Muslim League. Most of his family members had migrated to Pakistan in 1947.

Education:

He received his early education in his hometown. Then for higher education, he visited to Mazahir-Uloom and Deoband and completed Fadhilat (Aalimiyat course) from Darul-Uloom.

Teaching:

After completing graduation, he served in some places as a teacher. Then he, as a rector, served Madrasa Khadimul-Uloom from 1357 A.H. to 1363 A.H. corresponding to 1945 A.D. The education system was not good before Maulana's tenure. Maulana worked tirelessly to improve the education system. His hard work paid off and the education system progressed by leaps and bounds. Earlier, there were no Arabic classes. So, during Maulana's tenure, Arabic classes up to Sharh-e-Jami were brought into motion as well as the construction of the Madrasa increased significantly under his patronage.

Resignation from the post of rector and govt. job:

In 1945, he was appointed as a teacher of Arabic and Persian at a high school in Buland Shahar, he resigned from the Madrasa and started working for the government. 1981 A.D. He retired from the job. As his son was educated at Aligarh and got employed there, therefore, he also moved to Aligarh after retiring and spent the rest of his life there.
On Thursday, December 20, 2007 corresponding to 9th Dhul-Hijjah 1428, he left his heavenly abode at 3:30. His dead body was shifted from Aligarh to his hometown, Dadheru Kalan & after Friday prayer, he was buried On December 21, 2007.
